// goals for 2006.trevor

o As much as I do want a fuzzy pet, I already have a freaking awesome pet turtle to whom I don’t pay nearly enough attention. Yeah, I know there aren’t a whole lot of games you can play with an aquatic reptile, but the least I could do is let him out of his tank every once in a while to run around.

o The big obstacle to this in the first place is that he’s still small enough to crawl back into a crevice (behind the fridge, stove, etc.) and get himself stuck if I’m not paying close enough attention; he has to be watched constantly when he’s out. But, I used to let him run around the bathroom while I was in the shower just to get some exercise in a place he couldn’t wedge himself, so really all I need are a couple more times like that where he can run uninhibited without me losing complete track of him.

o Another simple, abstract one: by December 31, 2006, I will have spent much more quality time with Trevor(a).

Brian and I got into a fight over whether or not we should go bowling. I had planned on it, but he didn't feel like it. I got pissed, so he said we should go. But, stubborn as I am, I refused to go at that time because I knew he was just doing it to satisfy me.

The result? I nabbed Trevor(a) and followed him around the house for about twenty minutes. He was adorable as usual and actually managed to wander out in the open. After those twenty minutes, though, he decided to crawl under our kitchen appliance hutch--I let him because I can easily reach under and grab him (as opposed to the oven or under the dishwasher)--and proceeded to stay there long enough that I decided he must be done with the playing. Nevertheless, he got his exercise and I got to watch him in his turtly goodness.
