// goals for 2006.take_pictures

o I have no pictures, therefore I have no memories in fifty years. Well, that’s not entirely true; I’m fairly thorough with writing, so I’ll have that to look back upon. But I really only write about a few select subjects over and over, therefore the pictures would be a welcome, less biased report of my life around this time.

o My resolution, then, is to take more pictures, keep them organized, properly labeled and fairly regularly in albums (or some other form of logical storage). By the end of 2006 I will have taken at least 150 pictures, labeled them and either stored or displayed them as necessary.

Pictures to date: 25 This is exactly in line with where I need to be to reach 150 by the end of the year, and all it took was one party and a new cat. I'm also aided by the fact that Brian got a gorgeous new camera, a Nikon D50, which makes me want to take more pictures, because even I can't fuck them up. So far I haven't had any of them printed--few of them are worth it--so I'm hoping to far outreach the 150 mark, so then the 150 that I do print will be worth printing. For now, here are a few of them:

In order: The candle screen my parents got me for Christmas; the freakin' gigantic shrimp Brian and I had for dinner one night; our friend Bill playing his guitar at his FE exam party; same party, Mike, Bill, a friend of theirs, and Brian; same party, our friends Keith and Steve; same party, I was obsessed with the shoes once I was drunk; my wounded and denimgrened knee; our new cat, Chairman Meow, hiding under the desk; my brother Matt and his girlfriend Sarah.
