| NaNoWriMo is a yearly contest done just for the hell of it. For the entire month of November participants write the crap outta themselves, trying to produce a 50,000 word “novel” by midnight on November 30.

| I participated this year, but managed to crank out just over 20,000 words. I will claim that part of the problem was that job interviews and applications were at their peak that month and I was incredibly busy trying to land a living. I will also claim part of the problem was that I learned about the contest on October 29 and had little time to prepare a story line before plunging into it. Consequently I lost interest in my story right around November 15 or 20.

| But really I was just lazy.

| So by December 31, 2006, I intend to have nabbed the little winner icon at NaNoWriMo and have a 50,000 word seed story for further development.
