// goals for 2006.ballroom_dancing

o I have always wanted to learn how to dance in a real, classic sense. I have a deep desire for my wedding to not look like a high school prom with all of the couples just swaying in place for lack of a better motion. Well, while I can’t control how they dance, I can at least learn some moves on my own. Of course, that leaves the problem of then moving Brian toward this same train of thought.

o So imagine my surprise when, one day, out of the blue, he said, “I would love to learn ballroom dancing.” You could probably have seen my eyes light up from a nice, distant point on the horizon. So while the engagement is still quite a ways off, I’m adding this one to this year’s goals in hopes that we have plenty of time to awe our friends and family by actually being coordinated at something.
o By December 31, 2006, Brian and I will be well on our way to becoming ballroom dancing fiends.

January 8: I was leafing through the community course list for the northwest suburbs and found that there are ballroom dancing classes beginning in February, so this one might be closer than I had previously thought. But that means we have to draw ourselves away from the conflicting sushi-making seminar, which is rough because we dream of having make-your-own-sushi parties. Such dorks ^^;
