I Hate Duo
(poem: Kilroy-style Quatre)
I hate Duo as much as the sky
When fireworks burst on the 4th of July.
I hate Duo as much as a storm
Which cools off the body when summer's too warm.
I hate Duo as much as the bliss
Of beloved kitten's or puppy's sweet kiss.
I hate Duo like I hate the love
Of whomever watches us from on high above.
I hate Duo like summer hates fall,
Or like spring hates the winter. Which means of course, not at all.
