-----part 1----- "Duo, I think we'd better get you into the hospital." Heero told him.
"I want you under medical surveillance until you have the babies." "Mind if we join you?" Trowa asked, as his and Wufei's faces
appeared on the cockpit screen in Gundam Wing. -----part 4----- Duo woke from the anesthetic several hours later to find himself
lying upon a futon with Heero kneeling at his side, carefully dabbing
cold water upon his forehead. -----TBC-----
Duo poured himself a glass of juice as he stood in the kitchen,
dressed in a pair of silk pajama bottoms. As he set it down, a wave
of dizziness came over him and he fell to the floor just as Heero,
who had noticed that Duo was not in their bed, walked into view in
the hallway.
"Duo!" Heero exclaimed, running into the kitchen. He lifted Duo off
of the floor and carried him back to bed. "Duo, I really think you
should see a doctor."
"I'm fine." Duo whispered. "I just overworked myself."
"Pouring juice?" Heero wasn't buying it. "Look, Duo, you could be
very sick... and I think it's my fault."
"What are you saying, Heero?"
"I volunteered us for a cellular modification project." Heero
explained. "The idea was to randomly modify various cells throughout
the body into different kinds of cells and then see how they react."
"And you let them do this to me without telling me."
"They did it to all of us." Heero replied. "I was told not to tell
anyone because they didn't want people faking results or coming down
with any severe cases of hypochondria."
"What do you mean different kinds of cells?" Duo asked.
"Oh, still biologically human. But..." Heero shook his head. "They
didn't go into any details. And I don't know which of us got the
modifications."
"Okay. I'll see a doctor." Duo gave in.
Heero paced the doctor's office while Duo dressed and waited for the
doctor's verdict.
Down the hall, the doctor was on the telephone. "Yes, Dr.J, " he was
saying. "Yes, that's right. Do you wish me to take any steps to
terminate... I see. At least five, possibly six or seven. Should I
tell them? I agree. Good bye." he hung up the phone and returned to
the examining room.
"Well, I've gone over all of your tests...." the doctor hedged.
"And...?" Duo prodded.
"And you're pregnant."
Duo fainted, again.
"He's *WHAT*?" Heero nearly exploded. "Duo," he said, more gently, as
he helped Duo off of the floor "what do you want to do?"
Duo understood what Heero was asking. "It's our child, Heero." he
said, breaking down into tears of joy as he hugged Heero, " Heero, I
want to have it."
Heero nodded. "So, doctor, any danger if he carries it?"
"None." the doctor replied. He decided not to tell them it was a
multiple pregnancy. They'd find out soon enough and he didn't wish to
alarm them.
Quatre was in the kitchen making breakfast when they got home. "Where
were you guys? Night on the town?"
"Nope." Duo replied, cheerfully. "Spent six hours in the emergency
room waiting to see the doc."
"And you're happy about it?" Quatre asked. "What... he tell you you
were pregnant or something."
"How'd you guess?" Duo grinned.
"Very funny." Quatre rolled his eyes.
"I'm not joking." Duo told him. "Heero and I are having a baby."
Quatre nearly dropped the bacon. He set it down and raced over to hug
Duo. "Congrats, I guess... but... how?"
Heero confessed to Quatre about the cellular modification program.
"All of us?" Quatre asked. "So... that means."
Wufei walked in at that point and gave Quatre a brief kiss before
going over to the coffee pot and starting it up. "Why do you never
start the coffee?"
"That's your job." Quatre reminded him. "Duo, for heaven's sake, sit
down. You're in no condition to be wandering around."
"He's right." Heero agreed, pushing Duo into a seat. "Now, you just
stay comfy while I get your breakfast for you."
"Like hell." Duo told them. "I can get my own." he stood up and was
overcome by another wave of dizziness. "On second thought, you get
it."
Heero was concerned by the dizziness Duo was feeling. The doctors had
told him it was normal and that once he started taking the proper
vitamins, Duo would be fine.
As the weeks progressed into months, however, Duo continued to have
fainting spells. By the time he was four months along, and a bit
bigger than he should've been by Heero's estimates, it was clear that
Duo was having more than one child.
He went into the bedroom and found Duo on the phone.
"Please, doctor," he was saying, "is there something wrong? Tell me?
Then why do I still keep fainting. Why... what? Multiple... as
in..." his arm dropped limply to his side and the phone clattered to
the floor by the bed,.
Heero picked it up.
"... are you there?" the doctor asked.
"It's Heero." Heero told him. "I think he's in shock. Doctor, how
many babies is Duo having?"
"I estimated between five and seven based on the blood tests." the
doctor replied. "But it turns out he's having more than that."
"How many more?" Heero asked.
"Four more."
"Kami-sama." Heero whispered. "Eleven total?"
-----part 2-----
Duo nodded, too stunned to speak.
"What's up?" Quatre asked, as he walked in. "You feeling okay,
Duo?"
"Duo's having a litter." Heero explained.
Duo stuck his tongue out.
"So... triplets? quadruplets? What?"
"What's the word for eleven?" Heero asked.
"You're joking! Heero, I hope you're taking him to the hospital. He
can't handle that without medical supervision."
"I am." Heero confirmed.
They got as far as the door when Dr. J walked into view. "Duo, you're
looking well."
"Look, we don't have time to talk." Heero said. 'I'm taking Duo to
the hospital."
"He's not in labor..." Dr. J sounded alarmed.
"No." Heero replied, getting between Dr. J and Duo. "Look, can we
talk when I get back."
"That won't be neccessary." Dr. J explained. "I've come to collect
the specimen."
"Fuck you." Duo spat at him. "I am *not* a research specimen and
neither are my babies. So you can just go straight to..."
"Hush, Duo." Heero told him. "Don't let it upset you. Just relax.
I'll handle this." he turned his attention back to Dr. J. "Look, I
don't know what..." there was a sudden pain in his back accompanied
by a loud explosion. //I've been shot!// he realized. Then the world
went blank.
*****
"I think he's coming around."
Heero sat up. "Duo?!" he looked around frantically.
"We tried to stop them, but..." Quatre began.
Heero pushed past him and ran for Gundam Wing. He didn't stop to
think about anything until he was in the air and scanning for Duo's wristcom.
He found the signal, quickly, and raced toward it at
breakneck speed, only to find, to his horror, that it was emanating
from a nearby lake. He spent three heartbroken hours searching for
Duo's body. Finally, on his last dive, he spotted Duo's wristcom
lying amidst the muck at the bottom of the lake. He retrieved it and
broke to the surface, his mind reeling with joy. Duo was alive! He
hadn't drowned after all! With renewed hope, he set his mind back on
the search for his beloved Duo.
"I won't give up, my dearest." he vowed. "I won't give up until
you're back in my arms."
-----part 3-----
"Thanks, guys!" Heero said, a sparkle of new hope in his eyes. "You
have no idea what this means to me."
"Like hell we don't." Wufei retorted. "Duo's our friend, too!"
"Right!" Quatre chimed in as his face appeared on the screen as well.
"So, what are we waiting for." Heero sounded ready for anything.
"Let's go find Duo!"
*****
Duo lie upon a bed at Dr. J's research facility. He was unconscious,
kept under by the anesthetic IV in his arm. An oxygen mask over his
face kept his breathing regulated.
While Duo slept, Dr. J showed him off to a small team of specialists
who marveled at the boy's pregnancy and the number of unborn
children he carried.
"And the chances of survival for a pregnancy of this type are..?"
"The infant survival rate we expect at about seventy-five percent."
Dr. J replied. "We do not expect the parent to survive the delivery. It's a pity, too. Well, these things sometimes happen. Now, if you'll
excuse me, I have to attend to the patient."
As they were ushered out of the room, the specialists couldn't help
noticing the lust in Dr. J's eyes.
"Now, at last we're alone." Dr. J told Duo as he bent to kiss Duo's
neck and groped at Duo's sleeping body.
*****
"Hey! I found something!" Wufei called. "I think it's a lab of some
kind."
The other pilots rushed to join him.
"That's it!" Heero exclaimed. "That's where they're keeping Duo!
Let's go get him outta there!"
*****
Dr. J continued to stroke and fondle Duo's sleeping form. He kissed
the boy's neck and turned Duo onto his side, unzipping his own pants
and pushing aside Duo's hospital gown. He pulled Duo to the edge of
the bed and pressed the head of his erection against Duo's entrance.
"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM MY DUO, YOU PERVERTED BASTARD!"
Dr. J leapt back from Duo as Heero burst into the room. He quickly
stuffed his member back into his pants before Heero got any ideas
about hacking it off and wisely fled the room.
Heero removed the oxygen mask and the anesthetic IV drip. Then, he
lifted the very pregnant Duo off the table and carried him out to
Gundam Wing.
"I've got him." Heero told the others. "Let's get the hell outta
here."
"Right!" the others agreed, as they raced away from the research
facility as fast as they could.
"We can't go back to our hideout." Heero told the others, as he
looked down at Duo's sleeping form, which rested endearingly upon his
lap, hair flowing freely, his head upon Heero's chest. "Any
suggestions?"
"We'll go to Earth." Wufei decided. "Our best bet would be either
Japan or China. They both have enormous populations and that alone
would make searching for us more difficult."
"Agreed." Heero nodded. "We'll go to Japan. But we'll split up to
fool them further. They'll be looking for five boys together, not two
groups of two and three boys. You boys head out to Shinjuku
Prefecture. I'm taking Duo to Chiba."
"Good luck, Heero and Duo." the others said, as they made their way
to Shinjuku.
"How are you feeling?" Heero asked.
"Where am I?"
"Chiba."
"Oh." Duo sat up, something that was rather difficult these days, and
put a hand on his stomach. "You guys okay in there?" he asked. He
looked up. "They didn't do anything to the babies, did they?" he
asked. He knew full-well he'd been abducted again.
"To the babies? No." Heero said, not adding how close Dr. J had come
to raping Duo before he'd arrived.
"They did something to me, didn't they? Heero, tell me!"
"You really don't want to know."
"Which one, Heero? Which one of those bastards raped me? I want to
know who to kill when I get out of here."
"No one raped you, Duo." Heero assured him. "I got there before he
could."
"Before *WHO* could, Heero? Tell me!"
"Dr. J."
"UGH! GROSS!" Duo exclaimed, in horrified disgust, as he vomited.
"Oh man, that is just the ... Please tell me he didn't touch me at
all. Tell me he was just reaching for me when you arrived.
"I'd like to, but..."
"How far did he get?" Duo asked, dreading the answer.
"He was just about to stick it into you when... Duo?"
Duo was throwing up again. "Could you be just a tad bit less honest,
please? 'Far enough' or 'Too far for me.' would have been fine."
"You would've asked me to elaborate anyhow." Heero pointed out.
Duo finally finished being sick. "Probably. So, now what do we do."
"You stay here in bed and I'll take care of you." Heero told him.
"And no going off to seek revenge. You're not to leave this house
until after you have the babies. We're trying to keep a low profile."
"I'm a pregnant male, Heero." Duo pointed out. "I think that's going
to be a little difficult."
