Hole #17 at Marsh Pointe West (contest edition)

Course by: Kyle Bowen

The 17th hole at Marsh Pointe West featured the best approach in the contest. The tee shot was guarded by two bunkers to the left and right of the fairway. You were then left with about a 167-189 yard shot to a green that was guarded well by bunkers. These bunkers were placed in a fashion that they looked great while still adiquately guarding the green. An area of marsh lies in front of the green with tall weeds and small rocks can be found in the marsh. A small fence lines the front edge of the marsh and adds a very nice touch. A stone bride connects the fairway to the green, which also looks very nice. Overall, I feel that this is a great hole, another reason that Marsh Pointe West won the 1999 UDC.
