Kyle Bowen's Opinion:

The Devin was a pitch and putt course designed by Michael J. Clark in the fall of 1998. It features some nice challenging holes, as well as some very creative, original ideas.

My favorite hole was #2. It had in the background some very nice looking automobiles. The quote stated that if you get a hole in one, you get the big prize: one of cars behind the hole. Each hole had a different name, which added to the course's creativity. One of the holes was even named after myself, which I thought was decent.

There was only one hole that I did not particularly enjoy. It was a hole that was all green, and was 125 feet or so long. This forced you to putt about three times, leaving your last shot for par a 27 footer even when you hit the ball as hard as possible on the previous two shots.

Overall, I enjoyed playing the Devin, a pitch and putt by MJC. The course does not take long to play as you can imagine, so take the risk, and try it out. It won't kill you to possibly waste 12 minutes of your time.

Joel's Opinion:

For creativity, The Devin receives full points. Not only was this a par 3 pitch and putt, but Mike went one step further and made it pretty much a chip-and-putt. There were quite a few holes that were under 50 yards. This was a very fun concept.

But, after that, there wasn't a lot of great things about the course. The holes got repetitive after a bit. It felt more like I was practicing my pitching instead of playing a golf course. The best holes, in my mind were the holes that were 100+ yards. I really liked the 8th hole. Everything seemed to fit in well together and it produced a great hole. The scenery other than that was not all that great. There weren't enough trees to add to the scenery.

Most the holes were still fun, except for the 7th. This hole was all green, and you had a 120+ foot putt. If it were a par 3, it would be OK, but the par 2 makes it damn near impossible to make par.

All in all, this is a very neat idea and definitely worth playing, but if you're looking for great scenery, there isn't a lot here.
