Conclusion

The four of you have extensively researched the disease commonly referred to as Mad Cow disease and each of you have become an expert on a certain aspect of BSE. You were able to combine your points of view and collaboratively present your findings to others to help everyone understand BSE. Through each other you have learned a little more about the disease and the implications that it has on a variety of people. Nothing is ever cut and dry and there are always differing opinions on a subject. "New" areas of agriculture will continue to emerge and have to be explored. And along with that "new" area will be a new set of controversies about that area. Through proper research and education, we can reach a consensus on issues that affect us all. As a member of the agricultural community, it is your responsibility to continue to dispel myths and rumors that may hurt this industry. On the other hand it is also your responsibility to ensure that the "new" areas are beneficial and do not have a negative impact on the environment, economy, or society. There is a lot riding on your shoulders, are you ready?
