Nanshan Scout Cruiser
This is a fairly average ELINT ship, based on the (then) ubiquitous Enshar hull.  The lasers were left on because they required the least amount of internal space to operate.  The increase in sensor power occured without a firepower or propulsion upgrade, so it is not worth making a new SCS.
Ranshar Missile Cruiser
A potent bombardment ship, also based on the Enshar hull.  The A version was released in 2220, and featured a Class-R Missile Rack in the Primary section.  All hulls were converted to the present configuration in order to improve the survivability of these valuable ships.
Ranfarthor Missile Frigate
Due to budget limitations, it proved impossible to build as many Ranshars as the navy wanted, so this ships was conceived to fill the gap.  While not as potent as the Ranshar, it is more widely available and cheaper overall, though it isn't as durable as a cruiser.
Sparrow Light Fighter
This is the Delta-V of Emurian Space, based on an ancient trans-atmospheric design dating back to the 20th century.  The design has fared fairly well, due in part to its simplicity.  Raiders have found it useful, as well as a large engine bay conducive to modification.
Raptor Interceptor
Kestral Heavy Bomber
An older design, but still an effective bomber.  It is a dedicated missile platform, only closing after pelting a unit with missiles.  It can be deployed from regular hangers, occupying two boxes that could house a heavy fighter.
The opposite of the Kestral, a dedicated interceptor, it came about as an escort for the bombers.  It also has heavy enough guns to damage an enemy ship, an intentional addition to make sure the fighter is worth it's weight in battle.
Hawk Heavy Fighter
These debued about the same time as the Gorthon, and were intended to round out the ship, and replace an older multi-mission fighter.  It has an excellent mix of characteristics, enabling the Gorthon to do more with fewer fighters.  Since then, it has become the most common fighter in the fleet, accounting for perhaps half of all fighters.
Falcon Assault Fighter
Emurian weapon scientists, working every day to find new ways to blow things up, developed a significantly improved version of the fighter-mounted Plasma Bolt in the late 2240's.  The Falcon was created to mount the weapon, as none of the other designs proved adequate to mount it effectively.  While the fighter must get very close to deal damage with the Plasma bolt, it is very effective when it does hit.  This design is not forseen to replace all Kestrals and Hawks due to the cost of the fighter.
