In Memory Of Our Son
Damien Alexander Burlingame
We have created this site in memory of our son Damien. Damien was lost to us on October 10, 2003 to an accidental drowning at home.  We are keeping his memory alive by sharing him with you. Damien was the most lovable baby. He loved to give kisses and was the center of attention in any room. He is deeply loved and sadly missed.
Damien at 9 months
It will be 4 years this week that he left us so suddenly. Not a day goes go by that he is in not in my heart and my thoughts. I have been told by everyone in my life that as time goes by it would get easier, I can't say I agree but I can say that pain dulls, memories become more precious and your view on life is never the same again. Damien was a most precious boy so full of life and always so happy. He was the always loving and kissing on everyone. I remember he had his own special way a waking me up, he would wait until I dozed off and he would bite my toes and then hide laughing. He thought it was funny to watch me look for him. This is a most cherished memory for me and something I miss very much. Just wanted to share with you all.
LITTLE ANGELS

When God calls little children
to dwell with Him above,
We mortals sometime question the wisdom of his love.
For no heartache compares with
the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world
seem wondeful and mild
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold,
So He picks a rosebud before it can grow old.

God knows how much we need them,
and so He takes but few
To make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows
will always be "Goodbye"
So when a little child departs
we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children
Angels are hard to find.
