Jennen Ngiau-Keng toured Europe in July 2007 as Concertmaster of AYO, acted as Guest Concertmaster of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in June and toured the U.S with the Australian Chamber Orchestra in April. He recently acted as Principal 2nd Violin with Orchestra Victoria and will tour China in December with the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra.

He studied at Camberwell Grammar School on a full academic and music scholarship from 1994-2001, and at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) from 2002-2005 on a full scholarship.

He has studied mainly with Alice Waten, John Harding and Marcelle Marlette, but has also studied with international acclaimed artists including Rudolf Koelman, Thomas Brandis, Daniel Gaede, Oleh Krysa, Paul Rozchek and Shmuel Ashkenasi.

Jennen has won competitions including the 8th Kendall National Violin Competition (2006) and the 16th Gisborne International Music Competition, New Zealand (2004). He has also performed concerti with the Melbourne Symphony, Tasmania Symphony Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Preston Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Suburban Orchestra, Manningham Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne University Intercollegiate Orchestra, Melbourne Sinfonietta Orchestra, Monash University Sinfonia Chamber Orchestar, Melbourne Youth Orchestra, Melbourne String Ensemble and the Camberwell Grammar Symphony Orchestra.

Jennen has travelled as a soloist to Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and around Australia, and has attended music festivals in Belgium and Austria. He has also been interviewed and broadcast on Australian television channels 2, 7, 9, 10 and 31, and radio stations 3MBS FM, ABC Classic FM, ABC National Radio, SBS FM and New Zealand Radio.
In addition, he has held a masterclass to students at the University of Melbourne, and is a demonstrating violinst on the 'Australia Music Examination Board (AMEB) Technical Syllabus and Key Techniques' CD-Rom by Twofold Media.

As an orchestral performer, Jennen has been the concertmaster of the Australian Youth Orchestra, Melbourne Youth Orchestra, ANAM Orchestra, Australian Classical Players, Melbourne String Ensemble, Melbourne Suburban Orchestra, Geelong Choral Chamber, Monash Sinfonia Orchestra, Melbourne Chamber Ensemble, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra, Australian Music Events Orchestra, Percy Grainger Chamber Orchestra, Bishop Symphony Orchestra (National Music Camp) and Camberwell Grammar School Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.

He is also a member of the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra, Australia Pro Arte, and a casual player with the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO), Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO), Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, West Australia Symphony Orchestra (WASO), Tasmania Symphony Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. In 2006, Jennen toured with WASO  throughout China as Guest Assistant Concertmaster.

He currently performs on the 101st violin made by Graham Caldersmith (2005, NSW) and modern bow by Matthew Coltman (2004, London). His violin was a prize and his bow was courtesy of the E.V Llewellyn Memorial Award, which he won twice.
