The latest news updates and events in Neigh Productions.
March 7, 2008

I can't believe how fast February has flown by!  I suppose my blog posts will be every other month, unless an important update is available.  I have been busy with school, work, and extracurricular activities as well.  At any rate, Neigh Productions has some interesting news updates for you.

I am proud to announce that we are working on our very first movie!  The film is in conjunction with the Germanna Community College student activities film club.  We are about to go into full production and hope to shoot the entire story over the weekend.  The film is a 30 minute murder-thriller flick.  The plot: some college students go play paintball while there is a murderer on the loose in their locale.  One by one, dead team mates are being discovered and the horror is on…but do they survive and outwit the murderer?  You will have to find out!

The title of this movie is still up in the air but the story, cast, and crew are all set.  I have the role as a camera operator, editor, and sound technician.  I have come up with some songs for the score, one of which is still waiting to receive licensing permission.  There is another guy working on an original score for this film so the songs to be used in this movie are still undetermined.  So far, what we have in our score is:

Misery Signals

“A Victim, A Target”

“The Difference of Vengeance and Wrongs”

TAEA

“Victim of My Own”

Emerson, Lake, & Palmer

“The Endless Enigma (Part 1)” – permission pending

Original pieces and other royalty free BGM

There will be many special effects, stunts, choreography, makeup and blood.  The movie will feature a little romance, some comedy, drama, but mainly action, thrills and horror.  No, I don’t have a sick mind.  The story is actually very interesting and although I had a minimal say in the story’s content, I was able to ensure that there would be no blasphemy.  Overall, the movie will be equivalent to a PG-13 due to language and violence.  Again, I have no control over the script, but there will be no blasphemy.

I am excited and I look forward to a successful completion of this film in production and post production.  It is suppose to be going to a Toronto film festival.  I will announce when the film is completed and anyone that would like to see it is welcome.  Contact me and I’ll invite you to the local debut or send you a copy for the cost of materials and shipping.  The movie itself is not to be sold.

Outside of this film project, Neigh Productions is working on a DVD of a live performance by local Fredericksburg Christian band Midnight Rider.  Front man David Humphrey was a real help in arranging this.  Post production has been put on hold but we will announce the release date when that time comes.

Thanks for reading our blog!  We will continue to keep you updated with the latest activities and services of Neigh Productions.  God Bless!  ~Joey
