-- Great Grandpa Peterson's

1916 Model T Ford

This shot shows the condition of the upholstry and a little of the top.  For the first year, we will run Old Henry topless.

This shot shows the three pedals on the Model T; lo-hi, reverse, and transmission break.  Notice the wire in the upper right hand corner of the picture.  This was a wire that Great Grandpa Peterson used to choke the car from inside.

The motor and body were in very good condition when we moved the car into the garage for the overhaul.  A new set of wires is all it needed to get her fired up; but, we just had to pull the head to discover a rusty number 4 exhaust valve.  From there the project snowballed.

This was the condition of the brass radiator when we took it off of the car.  Since that time the fins have all been staightened, the iron casings have been cleaned, the core has been flushed, and some minor brass soldering has taken place.  I'll get new shots as soon as it is polished.

A before and after view of some of the first cleanup as it began back in December of 98

This view shows the location of the Camel water pump and the magneto horn.  The horn just misses the water inlet by about 3/4 of an inch.  Notice the engine pans are still in place.
