Edry abdul halim was born on the 28th of April ,1976 in Petaling Jaya,Selangor. The latter was borned the third child out of four.Being the youngest among his brothers,he was always bullied and ridiculed by his older brothers,Norman and Yusry.But,that didn't dampened his spirits ,to join his brothers in everything they did.As a result ,he was once caught running naked (just after a bath) as he was trying to chase his two brothers going to kindergarten.Eventhough sometimes he was the main target of being picked on (especially yusry) ,he was always very much close with his brothers. There was a time when he was being picked on by a big bully in school,and hearing this,his elder brothers,Norman and Yusry,came to their little brother's rescue,and bashed up the bully.According to his mother,Zarina A.W Fenner,Edry,being the youngest of the three,always felt safe and secured having two big brothers looking after him.

At the age of 12,he and his family ,moved to UK following the reassignment of his father.There ,Edry and his brothers learned more and in detail about music composition.Edry learned about sound quality and recording tecniques .The experience came in good use later ,when he and his brothers formed a music group a few years later.

In 1992 ,Edry ,along with his brothers,took their first footsteps in showbiz,when they formed "KRU".After signing their contract with EMI,they asked for permission to produce their own first album,Canggih',as they had their own ideas on how the album concept should be.

Edry was 16 when they first started,which made it a bit harder for KRU to attend
promotional tours and meet-the-fans session.He had to divide his time efficiently
between studying and singing.Even so,Edry succesfully managed his time well ,
by getting a 1st grade (science stream) in his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM) .
But unfortunely,he decided not to further his studies,due to his comitment
with KRU.

                                   To his fans ,Edry is known as a happy-go-lucky ,cheerfull,spontaneous
                                   and funny person.He's also the kind of person ,u can go right up to without
                                   having to wonder what should u guys talk about.He is also a very hard
                                   working person,doing his job as a sound engineer.He has also received
                                   the "Best engineered album"for two years in a row.Unlike his brothers,
                                   he's not very easily moved.This was shown 1998,where they're
                                   KRUmania concert was banned due to some political issues,
                                   where Norman and Yusry ,were clearly depressed ,saddened and
                                   emotional stressed by the whole thing,where Edry remained calm.

In 1999,however was a year of controversies for KRU,especially Edry.It was the year that alleged explicit pictures of him with Linda Rafar (Elite) were spread over the internet.Both parties denied the allegations.The pictures were clearly retouched ,as some experts stated that his body and face was of different colours.

The year of 2000 brought a whole new meaning to Edry's life when he became a proud father to a beautiful baby boy ,Emil ,with his marriage to Milia Mohamed ,25 ,in1999.
Emil is said to be a combination of Edry and Milia's name.The birth of Emil has made Edry's life more complete,interesting and full of happiness.
