History is one of my favorite subjects. If we don't learn from our history, we don't have any way to better our future. Granted, different people have different perspectives on the past.. It's a good thing, in a way, that there are people before us who have "been there and done that", so that we don't have to. We have a better chance of doing it right the first time because of what wiser people have taught us.

As Mark Twain said in the photo above, whatever we do we need to just put our whole heart in it. However, if we have no love in our hearts, we are nothing. Nothing we do means anything without love being our motivation. Too often, selfishness gets the best of us, anger tears us apart, and loneliness leaves us desperately seeking the meaningless things in the world. We mistake lust for love, and tainted motives for kindness.. Why is that? Why do people take all the good things in the world and use them in a deceitful way? Why do people lie about the most meaningful things in life? The answer: People just don't put their hearts in things. They turn cold, hard, and unresponsive to true love. But learning from other's pasts and your own can be the beginning of a good future. Make life mean something; make it mean everything. Live, laugh and love with all your heart. Be true and real, as if today was your last.

Hopefully, soon I will have my own photography and art up on this page! My counter somehow disappeared, so I had to start over. :( Ive had about 400 visitors in the last year or so. Not a lot, I know, but for a web page that isn't advertised or anything like that, I think it's good!
