JMUMC
Youth
Newsletter
Good morning,

I wanted to remind all of you that this coming Sunday is our last youth meeting for the year.  To celebrate the coming of summer, we are going out to dinner. The winning team from our game on May 18 got to pick the location for the meal, and they chose Five Guys over at Pullman Square.  We will meet at 5:00 at the church and walk over together.  The youth fund will pay for dinner.  We will be back at the church for the regular 7:00 pick-up.

We will be sending permission slips home with the youth for Ichthus and for SYC.  The forms must be returned when you bring your child to the church to leave for those events.  The Ichthus permission slip is on the youth website and can be downloaded from there also.  We should have the one for SYC on there shortly.  We will purchase the Ichthus tickets the first of next week, so if your child would like to go and you haven't yet told us, please let us know ASAP!!  Those who have told us they are going are: Sam Shideler who is bringing two friends, Josh and Grant, Erin and Hanna, Cassi, and Savannah and her friend Ireland.  We have room for a few more if there is anyone else who wants to go.  Friends of our youth are welcome, but we prefer they pay the $108 cost of their ticket.

Those we know who are going to SYC are:  Matt, Lee, Christian, Grant, Josh, Erin, Hanna, Savannah, Cassi, and Connor.  Again, please let us know if there are others.

Thanks to you all for helping us have a great year!  We so appreciate all the ways you parents help with the youth.  None of what we do would be possible without your support.  We are also thankful for the help and guidance we have received from Pastor Suzanne and Pastor Carol.  We will miss Carol very much and know that she will do wonderful things at her new church.  We look forward to the changes we will undergo as a church once Jack comes on board.  He and his wife clearly value our youth, and it will be exciting to work with him and to learn what ideas he may have for nurturing our youth.  We wish all the youth and their families a relaxing and safe summer.

Peace,

Jeff and Mary
