Volunteers
Security Coordinator � Shelly and Steve -- This person schedules volunteers to provide security at the 10th street door on Sundays from 4:45pm to around 7:00pm. The security volunteers will make sure that the door is locked at around 5:30pm and unlocked at around 6:45pm. During the two hours on duty, the security volunteer will remain in the vicinity of the 10th Street door to provide access to the church for parents who need to pick up their children early or drop them off late. The coordinator will insure that the volunteer has access to the church and is aware of the security needs for the ministry.
Facilities Coordinator � Suzanne and Lee -- This person will coordinate the physical needs of the program. Most often this will be done through communication with the church staff. Needs might include arranging for the staff to provide microphones and projection equipment for JesusQuest, contacting the staff to ensure that the church is clean for an upcoming special event or arranging with the staff to make sure that the van is ready for the youth to use.
Transportation Coordinator � Steve and Shelly -- This person arranges for volunteers to provide transportation to both Fall Workshop and Summer Youth Celebration. The youth leaders do not attend these events so it is necessary for travel arrangements to be made. This coordinator also make sure that permission slips (with emergency contact information) are given to the drivers who take the youth to the event, and that the slips are then transferred to the drivers who pick up the youth. This coordinator would not be responsible for obtaining the slips from the youth prior to the event, but only that the driver is provided with the slips as necessary.
Parent Coordinator � This person communicates with parents to arrange for parental help during special youth events such as fundraiser dinners. Parents are needed to help set up, serve and clean up for the dinners; the coordinator would help to facilitate that process.
