Here we go again!  The United States Senate has voted overwhelmingly to mandate that 'porn' sites on the internet require a credit card or other hoops to jump through for someone to gain admittance.  I agree with the concept of trying to limit the exposure of children to 'questionable' material.  However, it should be the parents' right and responsibility to ensure they (the parents) and no one else, is to judge what their children are exposed to.

If the parents have cable coming in to their homes, is the cable operator responsible for what the child may be exposed to?  If the parent subscribes to a 'pornagraphic' magazine, is it the responsibility of the publisher to ensure the child is not exposed to it?  Of course not, it is the responsibility of the parents, and no one else.

Mr Coats, et al, stop trying to legislate morality.  It has never worked in the past, simply because it is not the government's job to do so.
