Making Money in Stocks
This project will introduce the students to the stock market. The class will be broken into groups of four students. The students will chart and graph stock prices. The students will also calculate percent increases and decreases.

The following procedures will be followed:

1.    One group will log onto the class computer and report real time stock quotes for the chosen stocks.

2.     Each student will then log in the price in the provided table.

3.      The student will then calculate the percent increase or decrease from the previous week and log it on the table.

4.     Each student will then calculate the percent increase or decrease since the beginning of the project and log it onto the table.

5.     Each student will draw a line graph and plot the stock price for each week.

Should the stock market web site be unavailable the students will look up the prices in the newspaper, Investor's Business Daily which will be provided by the teacher each week.
