Hawaiian Spareribs
3 lbs. spareribs
3 Tbsps. brown sugar
2 Tbsps. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup catsup
1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 Tbsps. fresh ginger, grated

Cut ribs in serving size pieces. Combine remaining ingredients in a sauce pan. Cook until slightly thickened, about 5 mins., stirring constantly. Arrange layer of spareribs in roasting pan. Cover with one-half pineapple mixture, add another layer of ribs & top with remaining mixture. Cover pan tightly with foil & bake in 325 degree oven about 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Serves 4.

Variation: This sauce is also delicious on chicken. Bake 1 hour.
