Easy Soy Sauce Chicken
This is a very easy recipe to prepare and all in one pot.

2 lbs. cut up chicken pieces
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 bunch of green onions (optional)
4 or 5 pieces of dried star anise

Mix together the soy sauce, water, sugars, green onion, and dried star anise. Bring to a boil and put the chicken pieces into this mixture. Lower the heat to medium-high and let the chicken simmer in this mixture for at least one hour.

Serve with steamed rice.

Serves 6.
