Char Siu 5
5 lb. pork shoulder (6-7 pieces)
15 tsp sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
15 tsp honey
8 1/2 tsp shoyu
red food coloring

Combine above ingredients and let the meat soak. Place on a rack in a roasting pan. Add a few drops of water to prevent smoking. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. Or, pulehu style, just throw it on the barbecue and cook until slightly charred.

JMR NOTE: Personally I found that it helps to cut slits into the meat and soak it for a few days, much more flavor that way!
