Auntie Anne®
Pretzels.

1 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
Dash of salt
1 1/2 cups water

Let set for 5 mins, then add:

4 cups flour, knead well

Let rise for 1 hour

Take a piece of dough and roll into rope, then shape into pretzel. Dip in warm baking soda water (2 teaspoons baking soda & 2 cups warm water)

Bake at 550 degrees for approx. 8 mins. (Air Bake pans work great, if you don't have them, watch very closely so they don't burn). While still hot, brush them with melted butter and honey, (approx. 2 Tablespoons honey to 1/2 lb. butter). Sprinkle with white and brown sugar (approx. 1/2 and 1/2).

My mom mixes these pretzels in her bread machine (dough only cycle), letting them mix and rise in the machine, and that works well.
