Our Wildlife

All the wildlife God has supplied for us is really great!
We need to get out and enjoy it before it's too late,
There are beautiful birds with colors galore,
Just watching them is something I adore.

If you'll keep your mind open and your thoughts free,
You'll be surprised at what you can see.
I sighted a falcon high in a tree.
He was just sitting there waiting for you and me.

Then, it took graceful flight,
Oh, what a glorious and beautiful sight.
On Christmas Day, twelve deer we saw grazing in a field,
Our video camera we just had to wield.

A picture we just had to take,
Was of seagulls diving for their dinner at the lake,
If a worm in the lake you toss,
A fish just might come out of hiding in the moss.

Two squirrels frolicking in a tree,
Is something really neat to see.
They chase around each other to get the others tail,
This is a game they seem to know real well.

If you keep looking, I'm sure you can find,
Other animals to occupy your mind.
If you sit real still, a snake may slither across the bank.
I really don't like them, I have to be frank.

Watching a snake makes chills run up and down my spine,
So watching a snake is where I draw the line.
If you look real close, I'm sure you'll see,
That woodpecker pecking in the tree.

If you keep watching the river bed,
I'm sure you'll see a turtle poke up his head.
Lots of times a beaver you can see
Building a dam for his family.

There are so many different animals for us to see
And God has supplied them, all for you and me.
I'm so very glad, God didn't let me miss
All the animals he breathed to life with his kiss.
