Our Dreams
It
really is funny all the crazy things that we dream
And
how very, very real they all seem.
The
silly things that come into our heads
When
we're asleep at night in our beds.
They
say it's in our subconscious before we go to sleep.
Green
monsters and spaceships must be buried in mine deep.
Things
I don't even think about durng the day,
Somehow
get in my dreams to stay.
I'm
always trying to run away
But
I never see what I'm running from that day.
I
also find myself trying to hide
From
something that I just cannot abide.
Of
course, when I try to run, my legs just won't work
And
behind every tree, I know something bad lurks,
Lots
of times you wake up in a cold sweat
And
don't want to go back to sleep even on a bet.
Your
dreams can really give you a scare.
How
do those crazy thoughts get there?
Some
of the wild things that you dream,
Can
wake you up when you scream.
I've
heard someone sound asleep, talk at night.
I
wonder what demons they're trying to fight?
Maybe
it's just the devil trying to break through
All
the good things during the day that we try to do.
