Wilsonville Art Club
Art Club is canceled Dec. 15 due to bad weather.
The Wilsonville Art Club is a group of artists and art enthusiasts who meet weekly to discuss and make art. Sometimes we draw pictures; sometimes we play with beads. Sometimes we just sit and talk about our favorite artists. You are welcome to join us! No particular experience is required -- just an open mind. So far in our meetings we have worked on figure drawing with a live model, we have made chainmail and dreamcatchers, we have used henna for body painting, and we have shared our favorite art with the others in the group. Some of us are semi-professional artists, but most are still amateurs who are working to improve. The club is still in the formative stages, and there is a great opportunity to help shape what we will become, but the goal in starting the club was to help people for whom art needs to have a social aspect to gather in a good location with people of like mind. I hope you will join us!
The Wilsonville Art Club will be meeting Monday nights in the month of December, 2008 from 5-8pm at the Wilsonville Public Library. An open event hosted by the Wilsonville Art Club, this is a figure drawing meeting where two models will pose by candle light. This will be a long pose event where the same poses will be used every evening to allow artists to perfect their work. There is no admission cost and no particular skill level is required. RSVP.
