| Mark |
| This
is Mark, who also lives in Bulacan, Philippines (near Manila). Mark
is Maria's brother, and I began sponsoring in October of 2000. I met
Mark for the first time in February 2001, and he seemed a lot like his
sister - shy, quiet, and a really sweet kid. When I first met Mark
he did not seem to really know who I was or why he was being taken to
Quezon City to visit me. But he seemed to loosen up a bit later,
especially when we were at Story Land.
Now that Mark is also receiving assistance from Children International and me, people also have high hopes for him. And, as with his sister, I am proud to be his sponsor, and am looking forward to getting to know him and his family better as the years go by. The next time I visit Mark and Maria I hope it will be at their home so they do not have to travel to metro Manila. That will not only save them a long trip (time-wise), but it will also give me a chance to see them on their "turf." Until that time, I only have these few pictures of him... |
