This New Orleans based rapper's prodigious output saw him rack up four albusm for the city's CMR label before turning 18 years old. BG (aka Baby Gangsta) signed to Cash Money at the age of 11, having been inspired to start rapping by the unsolved murder of his father on the streets of New Orleans. He enjoyed strong word of mouth sales in his local area, as like many southern rappers his records were denied widespread exposure on the mainstream radio. His first album was entitled "Chopper City". He also worked alongside labelmates Juvenile, Lil Wayne, and Turk as a member of the Hot Boys, who released their first allbum in 1997 entitled "Get It How U Live!".
