| What is Koinonia? | |||||||||||||||
| The Koinonia class is a multi-generational adult class which takes its name from a Greek word meaning "fellowship." The Koinonia class is an intimate group where burdens, joys, concerns and everyday life experiences can be shared in the Light of God's word. Rather than a more conventional lesson plan, the Koinonia class is led by different persons, sometimes from within the class, sometimes from within Johnson Memorial, and sometimes from within the community. The content of each class varies with the leader, but in general deals with how God speaks to us and how we respond, both as individuals and as a community. Invariably, the classes are filled with lively discussion and a real spirit of fellowship. The members of the Koinonia Class also enjoy getting together socially for activities such as lunch after church, picnics, an annual Super Bowl party, and other outside fellowship. |

| The Koinonia Sunday school class meets every Sunday morning in the basement of Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church. Come into the church through the door on the 10th street side, and go immediately down the stairs. Turn left, and follow the hallway until it ends at our classroom. Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers and older children can enjoy Sunday school classes of their own. Class starts at 9:45. | |||||||||||||||
