| Just because I didn't have anything better to do with my time, I decided to drill the airbox cover. I thought this would maybe increase airflow a bit, and sound better too. On the S model, you must drill the bottom of the airbox, not the top. As you can see, I simply drilled a long row of holes (had to remove the airbox to reach underneath), and sanded it smooth to avoid getting plastic debris in the housing. Result? No increase in hp, but it does sound more throaty above 4000 rpm. | ||||||||||||||

| Here you can see a comparison of the motor before and after painting the surfaces silver. I used high temperature silver paint with black lettering on the camshaft cover, the cam gear cover, and the intake manifold. It seems to dress the engine bay up quite a bit without being overly intrusive. Looking closely, you can see the yellow adjusting knob at the top of the Koni struts. With the turn of a knob they can become stiffer or softer. | ||||||||||||||
