GS WRAP
- This is an extremely easy and individual dinner that everyone makes
for themselves on camping trips. The ingredients can vary based on the preferences of the individual making them. These can be cooked around the fire, and directly in the fire pit.
Ingredients:
steak, thin (1/2 inch) , cubed
carrots
potatoes
onions (any color)
seasonings
First take your thin piece of steak and cut it into cubes. Chop carrots, potatoes, and onions. Cut 2 squares (approximately 12 in. X 12 in.)of Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil. Put steak and vegetables (the amount of each vegetable added should be to taste) into 1 piece of aluminum foil.
Add seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic, etc) to taste, then tightly wrap the aluminum into a ball. Then wrap this tightly into the second piece of aluminum foil. Place your dinner foil ball into the pit right up next to the hot coals (BE VERY CAREFUL!!!)
Cook 10-15 minutes and remove from fire with tongs.(CAREFUL! Foil is very hot and steam will escape
when foil is opened) Empty contents onto plate and enjoy!
Extra: You could add cheese to your wrap for a nice extra.
