This is one of my all time favorites. You'll love reading about the real-life horror show her life takes on as she takes you on this incredible autobiographical account of her search for spiritual power and meaning in the psychic realm. I can't say enough good about this book because of the relevancy both to my own life and to our times (i.e. the increasing interest in witchcraft, the occult and spiritual things). Even if you are not a witch, this is an excellent book to both entertain and educate yourself with.
From her early years, Johanna is special. She sees and hears things that other children don't. She's gifted with unusual powers. She learns, as you will, that just because something appears to be good (i.e. healing, guidance, insight) doesn't mean that it is, that all miracles are not necessarily from God, that there really is a beautiful side of evil, and that this is the very means that the forces of evil use to trick people into falling under their control. Sound stranger than fiction?
You will freak out when you see what happens to her. She has sincerely and wholeheartedly explored this subject and by God's delivering power has survived to bring this amazing, verifiably true story to us.
