A big Christmas hello to everyone and a big
thank you to all the people who are making this thing happen
all the time.....mostly Jodi and Kelley..just a few words
about what is going on in the Kent household.
We read the e-mails all the time from everyone
and try to keep up with you all...Glad to hear that Suzy is
doing well and think about her and will keep her in our prayers....
I'll try to keep this brief as it is hard to
fill in 20 years in 20 minutes ....Janine and I have pretty
much kept the same pace up since we left Uwp...doing approximately
100 dates ayear with our band Double Exposure....mostly casino,
corporate and resort work as well as working full time jobs...me
with Air Canada and Janine as a sales rep for various builders
(over the years) selling new homes.
We have three beautiful daughters Lynzie now
18 and at university in Toronto, Brittany 15 and Kendall 12.
We have a great life, have been very fortunate and feel blessed.
This year has been the most difficult for us as we found out
that our 15 year old Brittany had kidney failure and requires
a transplant.
Needless to say things have slowed substantially
at the Kent household, but you know sometimes God has a way
of telling you it's time to slow down... Brittany is doing
great on dialysis (10 hours each night) and goes to school
like regular kid and we just found out that I am a match and
we should be doing a transplant by late May or early June
next year...
Normally in the summer time we live at our cottage
and do gigs 4-5 nights a week at local resorts but this past
summer we actually had a family vacation and took 11 days
to go to Italy....we had such a great time (dialysis fluid
and all) that it really reminded me of our tour of Spain and
has renewed our interest in travel....in past years we would
do sun vacations to get away from the cold but the kids are
at a great age for travel now and are interested in doing
Europe again...by the way on one of those sun vacations, we
got to meet up with Anne Hirschfeld in Mobile and enjoyed
their southern hospitality....we would like to invite anyone
to come visit in Canada at the house or cottage ...its cheap
here and we'd love to have you...just call ahead as we never
know what we are going to be up to...also saw dave Broesch
in Fla...many years back...
Oh almost forgot... all our kids are heavily
into music...go figure ..and our oldest Lynzie has just released
a Christmas CD to benefit a local charitable organization
that has helped us with Brittany's situation...I've attached
a picture of her and of Janine and I just before Britt's problems
started ..we have a little more gray now....A merrry Christmas
to all of you and hope to see some of you in the north country
in the next few years.
Love to all,
Bill and Janine and kids
