A Warrior's Death

Brandish those swords

I dare you

Take my life!

I dare you

Fight me till I have no breath left!

I dare you

Kill me!

I dare you!

 

This is how a warrior is to die

To die with honor in combat

I know no other way to go

So when I am old and the war drums pound again

I’ll go marching with them

and if I were to live that war again

I won't know how I am to go

I will die some day

I am mortal

but I will die some day

with honor tied to my name

 

I pray that I get my righteous battle

for I fear of walking the earth

alone

for eternity
