The department of education culture and sports in its manual of regulations vests upon the school administration the authority to discipline members of its student body as specifically defined in the following regulations:
Rule 145... schools shall have the authority or prerogative to promulgate such rules and regulations as they may deem necessary frome time to time effective as of the date of their promulgation unless otherwise specified.
no penalty shall be imposed upon any student except for cause as defined by this site or in the school's duly promulgated memo or both and only after due investigation shall have been conducted.
Rule 148... IN view of the fact that the school administration more particularly the teachers, exercisee authority over the student in "loco parentis", they shall have ther right in cas of minor offenses committed in their presence, to impose appropriate disciplinary measures in the interest of good order and discipline.
Behavior and Disciplinary Measures
1. all decisions on discipline are made by the authority of the department of education culture and sports (DECS) and on questions that cannot be resolved at a lower level, the chief executive officer is the final arbiter
the discipline board will consist of the following: 1)Assistant directress 2) The Principal 3) The prefect of Discipline 4) The guidance director 5) The HRD Officer 6) The Adviser or Subject Teacher to constitute a quorum. The duties of the Discipline board are to hear charges against a student recommended action to be taken. It schall convene only in cases that may warrant withdrawal or expulsion such as those involving a major offense or series of minor offenses. Final decision should be with approval of the Chief Executive Officer.
2.PROCEDURE FOR DISCIPLINARY ACTION
a. when a student has been reported or is suspected of having violated a rule or regulation , an inquiry and investigation shall be conducted by the coordinator of the student affairs.
b. If the student is found guilty of a minor offense the csa and any other faculty member and student officer, shall employ corrective measures in the form of warning, censure, id confiscation, or injunction to apologize to the offended person
c. in serious cases, the principal may form a disciplinary board to investigate the matter. the coordinator acts as the chairman of the board, and forwards recommendations and decisions to the principal with final approval of the Chief Executive officer.
d. the parents of the student shall be notified immediately of the case. in more serious cases , the parents are asked to see the CSA.
e. the penalty is given to the student personally by the CSA.
f. A formal Warning is given when warranted. in such cases, the student and his parents signify their acceptance of the condition writing.

discipline is for the character formation and growth, not a restriction on freedom or mere punishment. it is a means towards achievement of self control. it projects the school's concept of a true Jesu-Mariaen

- being irrevelant towards religious authority and respectful of their teachers, members of the faculty office, personnel and staff, and their classmates.
