Note: This is not Gangs In New York (the version with all the extra features), but it doesn't have any effect on my opinion of this fantastic concert DVD.

This is an unbelievable DVD. One of the rare moments where U2 decided to play at a club, rather than an arena or stadium. This is already my favorite Elevation Tour/ATYCLB DVD, even beating out Slane and Boston. A radio deejay and ex-MTV encyclopedia Matt Pinfield introduce the band, and took plenty of time bowing to them. The concert is loaded with early versions of "Beautiful Day", "Elevation", "Stuck...", and a few other ATYCLB songs. It has a full band version of "Desire", and the rare 2 guitar version of "All I Want Is You." Older songs like "11 O'Clock Tick Tock" sound fresher than ever. They do a couple covers that didn't get a lot of playtime during the tour, mainly "I Remember You" by The Ramones, and a rocking Who cover of "Won't Get Fooled Again" to finish off the show.

The quality is much better than Grade A meat. In fact, it's better to compare the quality of it to a Victoria's Secret model than food. Bono's voice is much more fresh on this show than the official Boston DVD release. The band delivers a nearly perfect concert, although it's kind of funny when Bono has a little guitar trouble at certain points, even though the mistakes aren't really audible.

The crowd volume is just how we like it - plenty of stupid comments about the Yankees, but the noise is never too loud to overpower the band, except when Bono gives his occasional mini-speeches. What's the downside? Mmm... the only downside I can think of is that if you're crazy to the point where have to hear a song from the Joshua Tree at every single U2 concert, even if you have every show ever put out on DVD, you might be a little disappointed, even though I can't imagine why. My only complaint is that the show had to end. There's plenty of their older hits on this concert, and nobody should miss it.

Screen shots coming sooner or later...
