MAKING SACRIFICES(Part4)

Serena had finally settled in San Francisco. She had gotten a 
job as a waitress in a trendy cafe and a few months later had 
gotten a job in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as an 
assistant for a singing teacher. Seiya, her boss and the singing 
teacher was very impressed when he heard sing in the cafe and
offered her the job to help her out. Not to mention he was bedazzled 
by the pretty young girl and had a slight crush on her. Serena however
was secretive about her life and refused to tell him anything but he
persisted anyways.
"Where did you come from, Serena?", He asked her as they prepared
for their class which was beginning soon.
"Boss that is none of your business", Serena answered shuffling
through her papers. Her bright blue eyes looking down. "When I'm
ready to tell you I'll send you a letter. Now go sit on a tack
and wait for it"
"Touchy", He answered back smiling at her. "I'm just concerned
about how a young, pregnant girl could end up here"
"Tokyo", She said warily. "Okay you satisfied? I told you"
"Why did you leave?", He asked leaning on her desk and she
looked at him with water in her eyes. He immediately regretted
asking her and before he could apologize the students piled in.
His turned his attention to them as they all sat in their desks.
"Hey everyone", He greeted them. "Today I'm gonna teach you some
methods to make your voices louder..."
Serena sat down not paying attention to Seiya's methods. She was
wondering what the Senshi and Darien were doing. Just the thought of
him made her hurt. She was well into her third month and was beginning
to show more. Soon she would be as big as a cow but she didn't mind.
Serena had over the months began to like the idea of having a baby. 
To her the beginning of a new life filled her with undecribable joy 
and happiness. She had fallen in love with her baby. The thought of 
who it's father was made her happiness falter. She had not stop loving
him and never would stop.For she knew as her baby grew her love for 
Darien grew also.

2 months later....
"Okay class", Seiya began. "I'm gonna have Serena sing to show how to 
breathe and the correct posture when you sing" Serena stood up and 
front of the class giving them a smile. Putting a hand on her stomach
,she took a breath.Seiya began to play the piano and she began to sing:

        My love there's only you in my life
        The only thing that's right
        My first love you're every breath that I take
        You're every step I make
        And I...
        I want to share all my love with you
        No one else will do
        and your eyes...
        They tell how much you care
        Oh yes

        My Endless Love...

For a moment Serena had lost herself completely in the song. Memories 
of her life went through her head.Her as the Princess and Darien as 
Endymion...The war that tore them apart...The first time they met...
their first kiss...their special night together...her having to leave 
him.
She had not noticed that tears fell her eyes burning her cheeks but 
she had never looked so lovely. Memories collided in her head while 
her eyes held a glow of love. She had put her soul into the song and 
had enchanted the class. Seiya looked at her with complete adoration, 
he had grown to love Serena. Soon the song was over but the class sat 
silent and looked at her but without warning broke into wild applause 
commenting over her lovely voice.She blushed and thanked everyone. The
class was dismissed and had left the two teachers alone.
"You were great", He said to Serena."You sing with emotion"
"Thanks", She answered. "The song was beautiful that's what made it 
great"
"No you're beautiful", He complimented."Serena would you...maybe
wanna go out sometime?"
"You don't wanna go out with a fat cow like me", She said as she got 
her things and put it in a bag.
"Why not?", He pleaded with her."You're sweet and beautiful. You also 
have a great personality"
"I'm just can't now, alright?", She told him and left quickly left 
before he could persist her.

Serena sat on her couch eating some ice cream while watching the news.
Her two bedroom apartment was plain with white washed walls and blue 
carpeted floors. The kitchen was small and there was no dining room 
so she ate in her living room. The bedroomswere simple and medium 
sized. Serena had moved in a month after she came to San Francisco 
and preferred it much more than the rathole she lived in before. She 
was thinking about what happened with Seiya and herself. Would he be 
angry now that she turned him down? She couldn't possibly afford this
place without his help and to lose his friendship would be sad. A news
report suddenly caught her attention. It was about the Senshi and 
Tuxedo Mask.
"In Tokyo today", The news reporter began. "The famous Sailor
Scouts defeated a creature with the help of mystery man Tuxedo Mask" 
A picture of the Senshi showed on the screen and Serena paled looking 
at her friends. She missed them all desprerately but had faith they 
were doing their job. A picture then changed to one of Tuxedo Mask 
and a lump arose in Serena's throat.To see his face made her want to
call him but she restrain herself. Without warning Serena felt a kick 
to her stomach. Her baby kicked!
"Yes little one", She said and looked at the picture on the screen. 
"That's your daddy" Tears brimmed in her eyes."He's cute isn't he?"
"The whereabouts of Sailor Moon are unknown at this time", The reported 
continued and with that Serena turned off the T.V.

4 months later...
"Serena the show's gonna be a success!", Exclaimed Seiya. They had 
been planning a show for the fall and all their students would each 
preform a solo for the audience. Serena's efficency had helped them 
and speeded up all the work. Gone was the irresponsible, ditzy teenager.
She had over the months become a different person, more mature and 
serious. Her look didn't change however. She still had her meatball 
hair and happy teal eyes. Seiya commented on her child-like apperance. 
His feelings had not diminished but he felt that he should keep it to
himself.
"Well it should after all the time I spent on it", She said with a 
laugh. "I think though the kids could use a little more practice"
"Yeah", He agreed. "We can have them all running around the stage like
our last practice" As they both laughed over the image of 23 children
running like crazy people around the stage, Serena grasp her stomach.
"Serena you okay?", He asked her worried.She gripped on the side of 
the desk and a look of pain washed over her face.
"Call the hospital", She said. "NOW!"

"Push Serena", The doctor yelled to her and with all her might pushed.
The pain was nerve wracking and she screamed.Seiya stood beside her 
holding her hand and giving words of encouragement.
"The head is out", The doctor informed her. "Last time. Push with
all your might"
Serena's pale skin was flushed and shiny with sweat. She couldn't
breath but she had to do this for her baby. Taking a deep breath
she pushed while a scream of pain ripped through the air. In her
mind Serena yelled for Darien. Suddenly another sound was in the
room.The cries of her baby.

Darien woke up with a start. It was still night time. He could have 
sworn he heard Serena yelling for him and a pressure seem to engulf 
him. Without warning the pressure lifted and a feeling of joy went 
through his body. Darien just couldn't explain it but he knew it had
something to do with Serena.
"Serena if you could hear me", He whispered into the night air."I love
you"

Rei, Mina, Ami, and Lita were all awakened by a pressure coming over 
them like they couldn't breath but a moment later the feeling was 
replaced with a unexplained happiness. Somehow they knew who it was 
from.
"Serena", They all said at the same time.
************
The next day Darien and the Senshi sat in a local fast food place. 
They all were silent because they were trying to decipher the weird 
vibes they got.n Rei finally broke the silence.
"You guys", She began. "Last night I had this strange feeling. Did you
all have it too?"
"I did", Ami said."It was like a kind pressure and I couldn't breathe."
"Then I got this feeling of happiness", Mina informed them and they 
all agreed to have same feeling.
"Don't you guys understand?", Lita asked them. "It's from Serena. The 
bond we have with her is so strong we must to tapped into her feelings"
"But what could have made her so happy", Darien asked with a sad look 
in his eyes. Perhaps she had found a boyfriend but it didn't seem like 
that kind of feeling.
"At least we know she's okay", Lita said enthusiastically.
"And alive", Mina added. They agreed but they were all still worried.

The morning rays shone through the hospital window. Serena laid in her
bed with a proud grin on her face. In her arms was her newborn baby boy.
He's so tiny, she thought and his little mouth strecthed in a yawn. The 
infant opened it's eyes to revealed it's turquoise pupils. Serena was 
in awe over the miracle.
"Good Morning Alexander Endymion Tsukino", She greeted her baby. The 
sunlight bathe it's tiny face and it's nose wrinkled making her laugh.
"You're so handsome". The baby was a vision of cuteness with it's round 
blue eyes and little black fuzz on it's head. She could tell it was 
going to look like Darien already. "Just like your daddy". With that 
she began to sob. "I'm so sorry that your daddy is not here but he 
would be so proud of you. I can tell you're going to be a heartbreaker 
and smart one too" The baby began to flail it's arms about and made
gurgling noises. "You have your daddy's charm and I adore you. From 
now on I put your happiness before my own. You will be the only man in 
my life. I promise that I will do all I can to provide you with a good
life. Remember my darling, Your mama loves you."
