Brian Jaques- A Tribute
Brian Jaques was born and bred in Liverpool.
In many ways, his own life story echoes the epic tales he writes. At theage
fifteen he went tos sea and travelled the world before returning to Liverpool
where he began a succesful career in creative arts. He has been a proffesional
folk singer and won acclaim for his plays preformed at the Everyman Theatre,
where he was resident playwright. For many years he has presented his own
one man radio show JAKESTOWN on Radio Meryside. today he is known throughout
the world as an award winning author. His epic novels about the creatures
of Redwall have sold over two million copies worldwide and havebeen translated
into several languages, from Dutch to Japaneese.
