·          Part I—INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT

 

    Your READER’S RESPONSE may be in the form of:

 

1.       Writing a letter to an advice column as one of the main characters

2.       Comparing and contrasting a main character from each book

3.       Writing an epilogue to either book

4.       Writing a letter to either main character, taking the role of his or her absent parent (or the main character writing a letter to the parent)

 

·          Part II—PARTNER ASSIGNMENT

 

     You will work with a partner to learn some facts

about the author, using the links provided on the “RESOURCES” page.  

 

     You may present them in the form of a “Who’s Who in Authors” or a brief, one-paragraph biography. Please include a quote from her.

 

·          Part III—GROUP ASSIGNMENT

 

     You will be required to team up with classmates to present some facts about Florida.  Each person will be required to find four (4) interesting facts and include in a group presentation.  Be sure to include a graphic or visual for each fact.

 

     You will need to first meet to decide what facts each person will be responsible for and how you will present them. This is your opportunity to be creative!

 

     Your group has the choice of a PowerPoint presentation or creating a “Visitor’s Bureau” brochure.

 

     You may use both the links provided on the “RESOURCES” page or other Internet or media sources available.
