Review: Ghost in the Shell was created by the same man responsible for such great films as "X" and "Ninja Scroll". Like its friends, Ghost is jammed with beautiful animation and a good story. The only problem with this one is that the story gets very confusing, and to fully understand what is going on will take nearly three viewings.
Story: Taking place in the near future, police forces have been replaced by cybernetic androids that have no emotions and feel no pain. An evil cyber-hacker known simply as "The Puppetmaster", has been hacking into the computer brains of the operatives and have used them to destroy sections of a mega city. It is the job of one of these androids to stop the Puppetmaster before it can hack into the minds of every android in the world and dominate the Earth. |
