Life Without Friends

Life without friends is just a little bit harder…

Everyone boards the ark of life two by two,

I watch the spectacle from afar, aching to be with you.

Days pass by at blurry speeds,

Life loses lines,

Pain thrives and feeds.

Life without friends is just a little bit harder

Someone who listens

Someone who talks

I am in a quickly shrinking box.

Life without friends is like being in heaven without a soul.

Friends complete you, make you whole.

The world is blurry, all I see is your face

Memories get me by, but can never replace.

My soul is numb, I don’t remember who I was,

But you were always there for me; just because.

Each day gets a little harder to get through,

You are a memory now,

Perhaps my soul is still with you.
