Background:
Have you ever gone out at night,
especially downtown, parked in a garage and forgot where you had parked your car?
Well it has happened to many of us once or twice. Eventually we remember, but
after spending about 10 minutes looking for it. To solve this problem we have
decided to redesign the Car Locater. With the press of a button, the keychain car
locater will become activated and lead you in the direction of your vehicle. This
would eliminate that frustration of forgetting where you parked your car in the
most minimal amount of time. The device would be easy to read, understand and follow.
How it works:
The device will consist of
- It will work in the ranges of 1000 to 1500 ft.
- To get the device activated, the user needs to press an ON button. The keychain will then
display on its screen arrows pointing to the direction where the car is located.
- 4 different directions(probably more) depending on the user position.
- Referring to a parking garage, a light on the keychain will turn green if the car is located
in a upper level than the level where the user is positioned, and it will turn red if the
car is in the lower level.
- A beep will be heard from the keychain once activated. This
beep will increase in pulses as the receiver is getting closer to the vehicle.
At a distance of 100 feet from each other, the keychain will sound a ring tone alerting you
of this 100ft. range.
- GPS is the way to go!
