| Juneau vs. Marshall 12-06-02 The Lady Pioneers opened their conference season with a victory over Marshall by a score of 52-46. Senior captain Tyrika Gordon led the team with a double-double, scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 8 steals and a blocked shot. Senior captain Danae Lindsey added 13 points and 4 rebounds. Sophomore forward Jessica Games scored 6 points while shooting 75% from the field. Freshman guard Jessica Matthews came off the bench to drop in 6 points including 4 clutch free throws to put Juneau ahead for the rest of the game. Junior captain Alicia Benson and freshman forward Veronique Allen both chipped in 2 points and 7 & 3 rebounds respectively to complete Juneau's scoring. Defensively, junior guard LaTasha Pernell, sophomore center Lakaya Rogers, and junior center Samantha Luedke caused Marshall to turn the ball over 12 times. |

| Juneau vs. Hamilton 12-10-02 The Lady Pioneers got their 2nd conference win with a 53-52 victory over the Wildcats. With 14 seconds left in the game, Hamilton scored a 3 pointer from the top of the key to put them ahead by 1 point. Danae Lindsey in bounded the ball to Tyrika Gordon, who dribbled through the Hamilton defense and scored a short jumper with 7 seconds left in the game. Hamilton's last shot was short, and Juneau got the win. Offensively, the team was led by Tyrika Gordon's triple-double. She had 18 points, 14 rebounds, 13 steals and 7 assists. Alicia Benson added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Danae Lindsey had 6 points and 4 rebounds. Samantha Luedke and Jessica Games chipped in 6 and 5 points respectively. LaTasha Pernell and Jessica Matthews each had two points to complete Juneau's scoring. |

Tyrika Gordon led the team with a double-double, scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Danae Lindsey came off the bench in the 3rd quarter and added 11 points. Jessica Matthews dropped in 11 points including 5 clutch free throws. Alicia Benson scored 5 points and caused Tech to turn the ball over 6 times with her "in your face" defense. Jessica Games, LaTasha Pernell and Veronique Allen each scored two points. Lynda Knowles dropped in a free throw to complete Juneau's scoring. |
