This page will detail the history of various radio stations here on the MS Gulf Coast
(Or at least as best I can remember them)
Starting at the top:
Known right now as KICKER108 a country music station, but before they went country
The were the most powerful Rock and Roll station on the coast, with a name that fit them perfectly POWER108! They could be heard as far north as at least Hattiesburg, west somewhere between Slidell and Baton Rouge, and on a perfect day as far as Pensacola to the east. One thing that can be said for them, while DJs come and DJs go Bryan (Currently of the Bryan and Gwen Morning show) has stuck with them through out!

As if anyone doesn't know who this station is, yes it's 107.1FM The Monkey, before they were The Monkey they were KISS, and ALSO before they were 107.1 KISS FM they were 105.9 KISS FM. Several years ago the owners of this station and several other stations Triad Broadcasting decided to shake up 3 of their stations, they were: Classic Rock 96.7, 105.9 KISS FM, and Surf 107.1 After the shake up and all the kinks worked out KISS FM was on 107.1 Classic Rock moved all the way up to 105.9 and Surf was bumped all the way down to 96.7
