During the Independence Day weekend of 1997, 10 Penty regulars met, some for the very first time. The reason they chose that
weekend was to attend a Jimmy Buffett concert. Ok, so I like Buffett, and
I couldn't go... and I'm incredibly jealous. Maybe someday it'll be my
turn to meet my cyberfriends.... *smile* and you know
who you are...!
Before you begin reading the interviews, you need to know
that all the interviewees' answers are on this page. It make
take a moment or two to load, and it will take quite a few more to read
it all. I've also simply clip&pasted their answers... some don't answer
in point form. For those interviews, I haven't included the questions,
even though everyone was asked the same thing. *Score

1. You've met some cyber-friends. How did this meeting come about?
That's a difficult question to answer...started it out with two chatters
planning a trip here who didn't even show up for the party actually....Isn't
it ironic...dontcha think?
2. Who exactly did you meet?
This will be so funny when all the interviews are up...cuz they
will be the same names..hehehee...okay here goes...I met Scepter first..on
Thursday July 3rd...White Star also showed up that night..then the rest
followed the next day...Faithless Bitch and Master Bruce, Attitude In a
Leather Jacket, champagn(f), Lil Missy, Persistant Violator..and stellita
of course...she was already in Cincy with me though....*LOL*
3. Why did you decide to meet?
Why NOT?...
4. Where did you meet?
The Party Central was located at a Red Roof Motel in Cincinnati..but
Scepter had to be difficult and stay at the Quality Inn Riverfront in Covington
KY...so..he did the most driving that weekend...back and forth..back and
forth...
5. What did you do?
Met Scepter Thursday...we went to the Buffet Concert together...and
had such a wonderful time...everyone at my work got such a kick out of
the fact that I was going to a concert with a complete stranger...hell,
everyone I know IRL that I told about this got a kick out of the fact that
I was going to be hanging out with 10 strangers!
Anyhoooo...we all kind of met up and hung out in White Star's room Friday
morning/afternoon...Wonderful conversation..Laughter...So Much Laughter
my body HURT!!!...Took White Star, Lil Missy, Champagn and PV to my mom's
house before everyone else arrived...showed them baby pics...heheheee..
Okay...so we're back there..hanging out..talking, laughing and well drinking
alcohol of course...and smoking..you know..."vicing" like crazy...then
we went to this Riverboat Restaurant across the river in KY so we could
see the skyline...The reservations were under stellar~* and JeZeBeL...they
put us at the very end of the boat..heheheee...they musta been psychic!...
This was an extremely interesting evening... *LOL*... let's see... we drank
Dead Jesters... a deadly combo of Peppermint Schnapp's and Jagermeister...might
as well had drank water straight from the Ohio...*LOL*...Scepter brought
his camcorder and set it up at the front of our table...and we basically
just goofed off...Attitude dropped his drawers...exposing not only cute
legs but American Flag silk boxers...Camera bulbs were flashing at this
point as you can imagine...Camera bulbs flashed pretty much all weekend!
The Chicas played dress up...we all looked fabulous of course...*wink*
I sauntered...I boinked with Lil Missy..and Attitude bit me...I think you
should ask him a separate psychological profile kind of question regarding
that..ehehheheee...got me a bruise the size of Rhode Island on me arm!!!...Anyway..had
a wonderful dinner...which was paid for...almost completely...by ONE of
the dinner party...who I think wants to remain nameless...but bless his/her
heart....Then stellar~* took us all to her favorite hangout afterwards...and
somehow we all managed to make it back to the Red Roof unscathed...I was
the room hopper that weekend...Thursday night I slept in White Star's room,
Friday night I slept in "Jersey's Room"..ie champagn, Lil Missy
and Persistant Violator..and Saturday?...heheheheee...I got to jump on
in with dah Bitch and dah Mastah...We wreaked havoc in Bob Evan's Saturday
morning...and Oh Mi GAWWWWWWD-uh...the 2 million inside jokes we have from
that lil hootenanny....as many of you have already been annoyed by of course....*LOL*
Saturday we kinda split up into lil groups or off on our own and did our
thing...had a great time that way too...then Saturday night I took them
all to my lil pub Joey's...ehehehheheeee....let's just put it this way...I
went in there the Thursday following that weekend...and it was still being
talked about....
In a nutshell...it wasn't really that organized..but it didn't seem to
bother anyone...which was really great...I had the best time...There's
tons of things I feel that I'm leaving out on this question..but I figure...between
all of us...the whole story or stories should get out on the net....okay...wheew!..next
question...
6. Were these persons what you expected? Explain.
About 95% yes....You sorta feel like you knew them already anyway...and
I had talked on the phone with Dawn (champagn) and Danelle (Missy) before...and
seen pics of some of them...and of course, I live with stell, and had met
White Star twice before...I had never chatted with Master Bruce before...well
once I think right before they came down..so I didn't know what to expect
from him at all...All I can say is...what a perfect combination of chatters...they
were all great...It was such a feeling of familiarity and instant friendship
that weekend...as if we were having some type of reunion..
7. What physical trait(s) surprised you the most about them? Why?
Faithless has the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen in
my life...I wasn't surprised by that..they were just cool that's all...I
expected Attitude to be this big burly guy...but well...he's Slender..Not
Skinny...*LOL*...Slender...I had a picture in my mind of what champagn
would look like...but I had no idea that she looks exactly like Marissa
Tomei in the face...it was amazing...she is so damn cute!!...And Scepter...myyyyy
goodness!...The pic he has scanned on the net doesn't do him justice...he
is extremely handsome and extremely sweet...He opened the door when I picked
him up for the concert and I was like...gg-g-g-g-gg--g--ggggg---ggg*LOLOLOL*..it
was a nice surprise..let's just put it that way...and all the guys were
perfect gentlemen...that was great! No pocket protectors to be found..everyone
was very cool and very hip to the 90's...heheheheee....
8. Would you meet with someone you've met on-line again?
Hon..it's my new goal..to meet as many of my favorite chatters
as I can...the group setting was ideal!...I have to admit..I liked being
on my turf...but I am also getting a chance to see people and places and
do things I thought I might never get a chance to do...and hell...picking
up the accents alone is worth meeting everyone!..Since well you know..I
don't have one...not in my part of Ohio anyway...so I have to steal other
accents...heheheheee
9. Any practical advice about meeting someone from the Internet
in the real world?
Ohhhh you asked me this in my first interview!!!...Group Setting
is the way to go...one on one okay after meeting already...I consider myself
lucky about last weekend...cuz we all know there are scary people out there...in
cyberspace...and I just got to hang out with the freaky ones...not the

We all met in the chat room the Penthouse. We just had a reunion
on the 4th of July weekend in Cincinnati,OH.

We have been chatting for so long that we thought it would be a

We all met and stayed at the same hotel. We went to dinner on the
4th on a the river and watched the fireworks. We then went to a bar after
and had drinks and further got acquainted. We also went out the following
night to a bar and danced and had drinks. Then we went home the next day.

None everybody that "showed" up was exactly as they described.

Yeah! Be completely honest with each other about things or someone

no i am surprised to say.. they were not.. everyone was more than
i expected.. i went down with really no expectations other then to have

we were friends.. so i knew i was going to have a good time... and to meet
the others.. to feel like we were always friends.. we shared so much with
each other.. we already knew each other...

have to say none.. i never thought about it... Why?

oh yes.. hope to meet a few more in Aug.. i have met so many wonderful
people from on line.. it is something.. i think that Stell and i would
have not been as close as we are if we had met in real life.. but i hate
the thought of not knowing this wonderful woman.. and that goes for all
of the ones i have met.. they are all so wonderful.. they are my friends...
in real life and in the cyber world.. i know that if i need too.. i could
pick up the phone and call everyone of them and they would do everything
in their power to help me, as i would for them.. they are special people
in my cyberlife and real life...

don't go with high expectations.. enjoy yourself ... and know the
person.. spend sometime with them first in the cyber world.. don't go and
meet someone you have only chatted with for a short time.. all of us that
met had chatted for a long time together.. (other then that guy in the
Leather Jacket.. we had seen him hanging around the bar.. but you know
what.. that guy turned out to be pretty cool in real life and cyberlife)

I'm not sure how the plans to get together came about at all. I
was in the penthouse one night and heard there was a bunch of people getting
together in Cinncinati. I thought that it might be fun and decided to crash
it!

I decided to go because I had been spending alot of time in the

And besides, the fourth of July was my Birthday and it was a perfect set-up
for one hell of a party!

We met on Jez and Stellar's home turf in Cinncinati, Ohio. Alot
of us stayed at the Red Roof in Blue Ash except for Scepter...He had to
be different and stay in Kentucky.

I arrived late afternoon on the fouth of July. had time to meet
everyone and have a few beers. Jez had dinner plans at a restaurant on
the river for the evening. We had a huge table, fortunately at the back
of the restaurant...Scepter setup a video camera and we just had a blast.
Caught it on tape as well. It just came out a little dark, that's all.
After, we caught the fireworks and I stripped. The next thing I knew we
were at some little bar Jez knew of and we hung out with the locals. Kinda
went to a local place as well Sat. night and danced our asses off. Lil'
Missy set the place on fire. It'll never be the same.

I had absolutely no expectations on anyone. I knew that the people
attending were alot of fun, and expected it would continue in real life.

I wasn't surprised by much. Jez has a sexy stomach...I know cause
I squeezed it! Nice meaty arms as well.

Of course I'd want to get together again. It puts on-line relationships
into perspective. And also, it shows that the net doesn't have to be so
different from real life.

My only advice would be to know who you are planning to meet. Be
sure you really want to meet them. Don't lay down high expectations that
transcend reality. Sometimes, things are more appealing as fantasy!!
I met Lil Missy when we chatted for a while and we decided to become roommates. So she moved to New Jersey to live. I also met Jezebel, Stellar, Specter, Attitude with a leather jacket, Faithless Bitch, Master Bruce and White Star on the 4th of July in Cincinnati. Me, Lil Missy and Persistant Violator, decided to meet all of them because I adore chatting with them. So I figured that they must be just as fun in "real" life and they are!!!! We had dinner on a riverboat and we partied at a couple of different pubs. They were everything I expected and more. I couldn't have asked for a better time. I guess I was more suprised about the physical traits of the guys. You usually hear these horror stories of guys on the internet who say that they are gorgeous, but end up looking like hell!! Well, Scepter and Attitude, were definately gorgeous!!!! I definatley would meet with some new on-line friends. If you are going to meet up with any cyber-friends in the "real" world, the key is to be yourself. Don't pretend to be someone you're not.
