Standard #1- Content Knowledge
It is my goal, in becoming a competent teacher, to be able to understand the needs and requirements, of each student, and to be able to provide a directional and meaningful education.  Also, I will strive to excel in the ability to evaluate teaching resources, engage students in active participation, anticipate and adjust for for misunderstandings, and utilize adaptive devices and technology to provide a higher quality of education.
While my experience in the educational field is limited, I do have vast experience working with my employees and peers in the workforce.  Along with this experience, my studies in Social Sciences at Lincoln Land Community College and the University of Illinois- Springfield, I feel adequately prepared to help students "understand major concepts, assumptions, debates, principles, and theories that are central to the discipline."
