Go forward from your ship, then turn left. Follow the trail while fighting the thugs. Use the Chopper and the Lancer. When you reach a Megacorp vendor, go forward and then go into the arena by hitting triangle. You get the coordinates from the Megacorp store on planet Oosla. Joba Arena: Go forward from your ship, activate the dynamo, and follow the trail. When you meet the guy who sold you the RYNO, buy the Levitator. Then launch to the arena. There is also a platinum bolt. When you get the levitator, go strait up and you will notice it. It is on the building to your left. Get the coordinates from the Mathematician after you defeat the thug leader with giant Clank on planet Dobbo. ********************* V. Enemy Types (A1.4) ********************* Below are most arena enemies with their descriptions from the Monsterpedia. Bosses are not included. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? **MSR 1-CHAINSAW MODEL** The Megacorp Security Robot (MSR) type 1 comes equipped with a standard-issue arm-mounted chainsaw. Its spider-like legs allow it to more efficiently chase down and eradicate intruders. Since it only has close-range attack capabilities (it attacks by lunging forward at you), medium-to-long range weapons are the best way to combat it. **MSR 2-FLAMEHROWER MODEL** The Megacorp Security Robot (MSR) type 2 is designed for those who need the best that Megacorp has to offer, but can’t afford to pay for it. Complete with a Raritanium-plated arm-mounted flamethrower, this robot is guaranteed to stop up to 80 percent of intruders. **PX6 BLADEBALL** The PX6 BladeBall is Megacorp’s answer to the budget-conscious security consumer. These metal balls float in space until an intruder comes near, at which point they release a whirlwind of slashing death. The standard BladeBalls are easily destroyed with a few quick swipes of the wrench before they can extend their razor sharp blades. However, if you’re too slow, they will slice and dice you. **MEGACORP GLADIATOR** These armored and shield-wearing aliens have been genetically engineered by Megacorp to be the galaxy’s most efficient fighting machines. They wield a Chain-Mace, which they can use from short of medium-range for a devastating (and pulpy) effect. Do your best to not get within range or their Chain-Maces, as doing so will most likely result in a hit upside the head. When they are set into the arena, stay far away from them, if you get lucky they will start attacking themselves. they just smash each other with the flail until one of 'em is dead. credits to: light_daxter. **VUKOVAR TRIBESMEN** After Gagetron moved out, these tribesmen took over, searching for whatever they could use. The tribesmen have managed to collect some pretty heavy firepower. They are also excellent swordsmen and like to attack in groups. The best way to combat these savage creatures is to either pick them off from afar, using the Pulse Rifle, or throw some heavy firepower at their armored and shielded bodies, using long-range weapons, suck as the Multi-Star or Heavy Lancer. **JOBIAN SAUR-BEAST** After discovering the beasts on Barlow, a batch was immediately sent to Joba for breeding. Because of the harsh Jobian climate, these beasts have evolved a tougher outer shell, which can withstand more damage. They also have developed stronger teeth for catching prey. You’re going to need to use strong, upgraded and moded weapons to take out these beasts. Unofficial strategy for the saurbeast. After the strongest "normal" enemy is launched at you they will mostly immediately run at you. If the are running towards you, get next to the lava if they are real close jump over them (heli-pack double jump is useful) if you jump over them, they will run underneath you and land into the lava. After that the lava will kill them. If they won't run after you, just get close and attack them with a comet strike, they will get mad and run at you. credits to: light_daxter. **MSR 1-CHAINSAW V: 2.0** This is the best version of the MSR 1 available on the market today. With an alloy-based armor-plated exterior combining Carbonox and Raritanium, these robots can take a beating and still remain standing. Like the original model, version 2.0 still does not have long or medium-range attack capabilities, and has to rely on getting up close and personal to saw their victims in half. Stay away, far away, and take them out with a powered-up projectile weapon. **MSR 2-FLAMETHROWER V: 2.0** Like the MSR 1, these security bots have been upgraded in the armor department. Their flamethrowers have been upgraded to provide the finest combustibility available and, in addition to medium-range sprays, they can also shoot bursts of flaming hot projectiles. This robot will melt intruders like an ice cream cone in the middle of the desert. MSR 2-FLAMETHROWER MODEL V: 3.0 These enemies will fire fireballs at you if you are too far away, the good thing is: get behind another enemy and let the robot melt the unfortunate enemy as a Snow Dan under the Aridian sun! (Aridia is planet in R&C 1/3) credits to: light_daxter. "BLADE BALL V: 2.0** This deluxe model features a higher torque motor fitted with sharpened duraplated blades. Small and compact, the BladeBall V: 2.0 is the next generation of automated drone assassins. Instead of trying to eliminate these whirling balls of death with the Omniwrench, stick with a weapon, such as the Lava Gun, Blitz Gun, Multi-Star, etc. **JOBA TRIBESMEN** These Tribesmen are distant cousins to the ones found in Vukovar Canyon. Consequently, aside form some more advanced firepower (deadly plasma rifles) and armor; these creatures behave much the same as the ones on Barlow. **MSR 1-CHAINSAW MODEL V: 3.0** This is a modified version of the MSR 1. Retooled and reprogrammed, this killing machine is even more resistant to weapon fire. Its duraplated- sharpened chainsaw is now more efficient at slicing fruits, vegetables, and gun-wielding Lombaxes. **MSR 2-FLAMETHROWER MODEL V: 3.0** Flamethrower V: 3.0: A modified version of the MSR 2, these security bots have reinforced armor and are fitted with an upgraded dual purpose flamethrower – they shoot both a stream of fire and fire bursts that melt intrudes like a milk shake on the surface of the sun. Watch out for their balls of flaming death, and use a long-range weapon to take them out. **NIDBOT** The Nidbot is a dangerous meeting of arachnid and machine. This mechanical terror surprises its prey with a devastating leap attack that leaves even the most hardened of gladiators quaking in their boots. No self- respecting Gladiator Arena should be without them. Small and agile, the best way to wipe these critters out is with a medium-to-short range weapon that has a large blast/attack radius, such as the Blitz Cannon and Lava Gun. **ELITE MEGACORP GLADIATOR** The Megacorp Elite Gladiator Association (MEGA) represents only the best, and these Gladiators have been card-carrying members for the past three decades. With their improved armor and tetrafiber-enhanced blades, these MEGA Brawlers pack a mega-mean punch. Give ‘em heck with a few well-aimed rockets from you Minirocket Tube to show them you mean business. When they are set into the arena, stay far away from them, if you get lucky they will start attacking themselves. They just smash each other with the flail until one of 'em is dead. credits to: light_daxter. Email me if I forgot any. ****************************** VI. Impossible Challenge (A1.6) ******************************** Where: Megacorp Arena Difficulty: 8/10 Recommended Weapons: Shield Charger, Sheepinator, Synthanoids, and Bouncer. Normal or Challenge Mode: Challenge Rounds: 60 Bolts in normal mode: 200,000 Bolts in challenge mode: 2,000,000 Strategy: Use the Shield Charger until you run out of ammo. (Upgrade first so you get more ammo. Get the Ultra Tesla Barrier. Ultra Synthanoids are good also.) You get a skill point and the Snow Dude suit for Ratchet when you win this challenge. The Black Sheepinator (upgraded Sheepinator) rules all in this challenge, however, you must kill the sheep before it is counted as a kill. There is a very cheap way to win this challenge, and it was submitted to GameFAQs by o0Warstar0o. For the full cheat, go to http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/code/914659.html. I will summarize it here. Get to the last round of a cage match (look at the layout below). Kill all but 1 enemy. Deploy a decoy from the decoy glove, and kill the last enemy. When you return to the ground, the enemies will ignore you. The layout looks like this: Round: Event: 1-5 Regular 6-9 Cage match 10-16 Regular 16-19 Cage match 20-25 Regular 26-29 Cage match 30-35 Regular 36-39 Cage match 40-45 Regular 46-49 Cage match 50-55 Regular 56-58 Cage match 59 Regular 60 Megapede Use the Megapede strategy in chapter III (below) for round 60. ************* III. Megapede ************* Where: Joba Arena Difficulty: 4/10 Recommended Weapons: Shield Charger (preferably upgraded), Killanoid, Chopper, blitz cannon and Minirocket Tube. (RYNO 2 and Plasma Coil are optional.)Note: Pretty much any weapon will work against Megapede, but these are the ones I use. Normal or Challenge Mode: Both Rounds: 1 Bolts in normal mode: 7,000 Bolts in challenge mode: 30,000 Strategy: Use the Shield Charger to protect you from land mines. Aim with the Minirocket Tube, Blitz Cannon, or Plasma Coil to attack Megapede. The Killanoids will do that automatically. You get a skill point and the snow dude costume from beating this challenge. ************* IV. Arachnoid ************* Where: Joba Arena Difficulty: 3/10 Recommended Weapons: Minirocket Tube, Blitz Gun, Minituret Glove, Lancer, Seeker Gun, and RYNO 2. (Optional) Normal or Challenge Mode: Both Rounds: 1 Bolts in normal mode: 5,000 Bolts in challenge mode: 20,000 Strategy: Put the Minituretts on the opposite side of the Arachnoid. Then chase him to that side. Other than that, just fire at him. Use the Blitz Gun or Gravity Bomb on his minions. **************** V. Wrench Expert **************** Where: Maktar Arena Difficulty: 10/10 Recommended Weapons: 3rd Wrench Normal or Challenge Mode: Challenge Rounds: 9 Bolts in challenge mode: 90,000 Strategy: Get far but in range of your wrench throw from any enemy, then throw your wrench. You can also do a Hyper-strike on stronger or single enemies. I could not beat this Chainblade, so I used a board from GameFAQs. Below is how to defeat Chainblade with your wrench. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? From: chronolover013 I don't think the wrench throw would be too good because you have to wait to retrieve it and he'll be able to sneak in an attack. Try getting up near his legs so you're practically hugging them and chop away! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? From: DasroKast The best thing to do when fighting Chainblade in the Wrench Expert is to keep moving, and wait for him to pause before striking him a couple of times. Just be patient, and get the hits when you can. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? From: dougmanic Yeah, just do the jump attack when he attacks. Therefore, you hit him but he misses. When he flies in the air, just dodge him until he comes down. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? From: Omniwrench12000 I have a strategy. Don't know if it's that good but I can beat Chainblade most of the time using it. Here's what you do: When you get to Chainblade try to kill all of the BladeBalls before he jumps off of his ledge. If you don't it doesn't matter. Just run around(keeping away from Chainblade)and when you get a good chance hit a BladeBall or two once or twice, hit it. Once all of the Bladeballs are gone dodge Chainblade’s attacks while he's in the air. When he's on the ground he will swing his swords along the ground one at a time. When his doing this, jump then double jump over his attack and Hyper-Strike. He will do his attack 3 times(I think). After the last swing he will shout out. When he is shouting you have a chance to do a Multi-Strike before he starts flying again. Then do the whole thing over again until he dies. Hope this helps:) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? From: arodnash2 (gs) If you throw your wrench a lot, you get way better range, so you won't get hit. (If you are really good. this may be the blind leading the blind since I can't do it, but it is my best strategy.) I can get pretty far though. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? **************************** VI. Chainblade and B2 Brawler **************************** Where: Maktar Arena Difficulty: 3/10 Recommended Weapons: Minirocket Tube, Chopper, Plasma Coil, Seeker Gun, Pulse Rifle and Minituretts. (RYNO 2 for Challenge Mode.) Normal or Challenge Mode: Both Rounds: 1 Bolts in normal mode: 5,000 Bolts in challenge mode: 25,000 Strategy: Chainblade: Shoot him constantly. You get a skill point if you beat him with your wrench only. B2 Brawler: Dodge him while he is not revolving. When he is revolving, double jump over his arms and shoot him. You get a skill point if you beat him without getting hurt. Use the Shield Charger for this skill point. Use the same strategy for the tag team. (I put these two together because they are rather similar.) ****************************** VII. Limited Weapons Challenges ****************************** Where: Joba Arena Difficulty: 5/10 Normal or Challenge Mode: Both Strategy: Use the enemies' weapons against them. Get multiple enemies in a small group, then dodge their attacks and make them hit each other. Then finish the last few off. Get mods for the weapons to make it easier. It is also a lot easier with upgraded weapons. Hitting enemies right when they come out of the boxes can knock them off the platform. ***************** XII.
