CHATEAU DE MESNAC Place de l'Eglise Mesnac (about 25 km, or half an hour drive) Wonderful, welcoming restaurant in an 18th-century chateau, Chateau Mesnac is a ferme auberge, meaning that everything cooked is produced on the estate. The chateau also distils its own cognac - D. Du Veron. Set menus at 30, 40 and 50 Euros for four courses and including aperitif, wine and cognac. Prices start from �250 for a weekend - ie Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday.
For a mid-week stay, Monday-Friday, the price is �350. For other combinations, please enquire.
