Women’s Suffrage
In the 1787 Constitutional
Convention, the framers
gave no thought to giving
women the vote, despite the
advise of future First Lady
Abigail Adams.
In 1848, A Women’s Rights
Convention was held in
Seneca Falls, New York.
Among other issues, the
men and women alike
present demanded women
be allowed the rights of
other citizens to vote.
